Shifting Sands? – Go Big and go small.
We are in a time of dramatically shifting sands. Big tides are turning involving nature and human history. It may well be that vast cycles are revolving from end points to beginning points, moving to the tunes of at least 2000 and 5000 years, and maybe even to the tune of 20,000-30,000 years. I can’t say that I fully understand the implications of these large cycles, but we can see evidence of them in the astronomical, meteorological, archeological, historical and mythical records. So we find ourselves on the backside edge of a big turn in time, where things often change fast and furious before a new, consistently life-affirming pattern can emerge.
Historically, such times often involve crazy pendulum swings. I’m sure that you’ve felt these forces growing more dramatic in our politics and culture wars, and maybe even inside yourself (I certainly have). As global warming continues, larger swings in our weather will continue adding even more energy to our politics and public debate. There are stormy feedback loops that will take a while to either undo or find a new balance. Because of what’s driving these storms, unstable circumstances are going to persist for a while.
But there is a beautiful, healing way forward in the face of our world’s challenges, mainly from within. It involves your inner wellspring, alongside those of every person on Earth. I firmly believe that what is ultimately to emerge for humanity on Earth is going to be absolutely beautiful, no matter how hard the process. I’ve seen a vision of it. It’s just a matter of how and when, and the path we as a collective choose from here to there.
So what should one do to thrive in these times? Go Big and go small. Pray daily to the Great I AM, or “God,” or Source Being, or whatever opens you to the Masculine and Feminine, Supreme Being of the Multiverse. Open to love and guidance from the Supreme Divine and go to your own beating heart – Go Big and go small. Allow for the Great Divine Mystery and get to know and love yourself well as the magical part of it that you really are. That will allow a big perspective on our times and a way to focus on yourself as the branch of the Tree of Life, the cell with divine DNA that you are. With that perspective and focus, you can create a home inside where you are safe with God and yourself – what we call your Center Sanctuary. Then you can play and work with the creative, life-giving forces within you – what we call Your Inner Wellspring. Become acquainted with that place where your heart springs from the Loving Heart behind and within Everything. It’s something you can learn to feel in yourself, breath by breath, heartbeat by heartbeat, urge to love by urge to love. Go big and go small, and trust the process as you create your life from there.
You are always creating your life in relationship to what’s happening around you, no matter if your circumstances are solid or shifting. During these shifting sands, learn to trust and work with the creative aspects of the flow at work. Don’t rely on sand. Rely on creative, divine love. Work with the flow of the purest, felt love that you can, not against it. As I’ve said many time in many messages and blogs, love is always the key. Love unlocks the divine treasures in you no matter what the circumstances. What flowing love will say and do in the complexity of any given moment is for love to decide, but if high-quality love is actually flowing, it can be trusted. God can and will work creatively with whatever sincere love does. So go for that no matter which way the sands around you are shifting. Depend on your inner wellspring infinitely more than sand, and flow with it creatively, breath by breath, moment by moment. Go Big and go small. Our prayer is that this website helps you do that.
